More About Shari

Before forming Goodstein Law Firm in 2020, Shari practiced as an employment advisor and litigator for over 3 decades, primarily as a partner at a major regional firm, focusing on providing employment law advice, litigating workplace disputes, conducting internal investigations, and negotiating severance agreements.

She is a trial attorney with a strong record of success in court and arbitrations. Shari spent most of her legal career as an Employment and Litigation Partner at Shipman & Goodwin LLP in New York and Connecticut, and also litigated disputes at Kramer Levin Naftalis and Frankel, the New York State Attorney General’s Office, and the New York City Law Department. Shari has extensive experience negotiating favorable resolutions of employment and commercial disputes, including in over 75 mediations.

In her current practice, Shari:

  • negotiates lucrative severance agreements for executives
  • provides employment law advice to employers and employees in New York and Connecticut
  • conducts workplace investigations; and
  • litigates and arbitrates disputes, including over employment contracts, non-competes and executive compensation
